HoursShift Start Time:9 AMShift End Time:5 PMAdditional Shift Information:Weekend Requirements:No WeekendsOn-Call Required:NoWhat You Will DoThe Project Coordinator-Medicare will work closely with the Project Manager in assessing and ensuring Sharp Health Plan's Medicare products project coordination. Manages assigned projects, solves problems and researches data to facilitate business activities. Reporting to Project Manager-Medicare, manages short and long-term projects that require organization, research, analysis, planning, development, communication and coordination with required SHP departments. Serves as an advisor to the management team on assigned projects. Projects may also include RADV audit preparation, reporting consistent with CMS regulations, policy and procedure development, and department training/education.Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required.
  • 2 Years experience in position requiring high levels of cooperation, collaboration, analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing of varied communication materials.Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in health care, business, law or related field.Essential Functions
      • Analyzes, evaluates, and reportsPrepares Medicare product analysis and reports and makes recommendations based on this information, in coordination with respective SHP departments, including but not limited to Finance, Business Development and Regulatory/Compliance.Provides the Project Manager with advisory information to aid in decision making related to Medicare products and services.Compiles information for reports and presentation materials.Communicates key message points, evaluates and recommends level of Plan participation.Summarizes data and information and provides written and/or oral presentations regarding findings.Completes presentation materials including slides, overheads, handouts, etc.
      • Completes project planning and implementationExercise independent judgement in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.Responsible for smaller projects/programs where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.Conducts analysis for assigned projects.Assists in the development of project plans and implements or oversees project execution, when directed.Prepares comprehensive action plans, and completes regular updates.Participates in special projects which may include, but are not limited to, work groups, proposals, audits and back-up support for other departments.
      • Customer serviceProvides prompt, accurate and excellent services to internal and external customers.Develops solid professional working relationships with various internal departments and units and, as required, vendors, providers, employers, brokers and/or other customers.
      • Facilitates meetingsAttends and/or facilitates committee and other collaboration meetings for information and education.
      • Product and service evaluationDevelops, maintains and implements Medicare product related policies and procedures in coordination with SHP departments, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.Partners with Plan departments to ensure product requirements are met within organization and to provide assistance, information, and quality improvement education.Assists with training and education activities related to Medicare products.
      • Regulatory filingsPrepares and compiles data required for regulatory filings, in conjunction with SHP Regulatory/Compliance Department and other SHP departments.Prepares appropriate and timely responses to comments on regulatory filings, as directed.Consults with Plan subject matter experts as appropriate.Maintains working knowledge of laws and regulations related to Medicare products and services, including data filing and approval requirements.Cultivates positive relationship with regulators.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
        • Research skills and experience producing executive summaries, presentations, proposals, project plans and recommendations.
        • Ability to function independently, make sound decisions based upon thorough investigation of available information, manage deadlines and priorities, and manage a variety of activities simultaneously.
        • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to health plans and health insurance.
        • Knowledge of health plan operations.
        • Strong project management skills, including the ability to work well across business units to meet established goals and objectives.
        • Effective interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
