Finance and Analytics Reporting Officer Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201811135581 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $67,300 - $132,500 Position Information The Finance and Analytics Reporting Officer will be responsible for leading the implementation and approval of standard reports across SOM units with a high level of data integrity. The role is to turn data into information - to be able to access, analyze and present information from operational, financial, clinical and/or industry data sources to help guide decision-making for the school. The incumbent will be responsible for complex financial forecasting and analytics, and for educating Financial and Administrative Officers (FAO's) and/or managers across the various units on how to create, read, and interpret reports. The position will also provide consultative support services to all levels of management by advising on resolutions to financial problems; and making recommendations concerning school resources, policies, practices, and operations. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Experience Experience Requirement Demonstrated and extensive experience participating in strategic planning in a higher education, academic medicine, healthcare or similar setting. Required 6 - 10 years of related experience. Required Minimum Requirements Ability to function as a member of a team. Advanced knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Advanced knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Ability to identify, collect and analyze information from a variety of sources. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to present complex finance related information in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally. Advanced interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization; service orientation; advanced critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, effective organizational skills. In depth ability to use multiple spreadsheet and database software tools to gather information for specialized, complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Demonstrated ability to translate observations, findings and recommendations from analytical studies into a concise written report. Advanced expertise using computer software, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access, in a Windows environment. Demonstrated skill in evaluating project needs, determining approaches, evaluating impact of alternatives and making viable recommendations consistent with sound financial management. Demonstrated ability to develop qualitative and quantitative models depicting various strategies and proposals from which to evaluate and assess various implications to the SOM, and formulate viable recommendations.
