The Department of Mechanical Engineering is an academic operation
encompassing teaching and research. Fiscal responsibilities include
the management of an annual expenditure in excess of $10 million
from a variety of state, federal, and gift fund sources. The
department encompasses 100+ employees comprising of faculty,
non-senate academics, postdocs, graduate students, research
personnel, and administrative staff. The Financial Analyst develops
and prepares budgetary analysis reports by retrieving, organizing,
and validating data using campus financial systems. Reviews and
reconciles campus financial transaction detail reports to actual
expenditure documentation on a monthly basis using the campus
ledger reconciliation storage systems ensuring accuracy and
compliance with all agency and university policies and procedures.
Prepares and processes budget and expense transfers as needed.
Interprets policies by documenting and determining allowable costs
in compliance with standard Uniform Guidance for federal awards.
May also serve as Payroll and Personnel coordinator for specific
academic, staff and student personnel actions. Serves as liaison to
International Students and Scholar Office for appointments
involving international personnel. Please note: The budgeted salary
range for this position is up to $72,500.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
