Assistant Coach 2 - Women's Volleyball (P/T) Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 26490502 49% Part Time Schedule Varies $36,900 - $66,500 Position Information The assistant coach is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Volleyball program including, but not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, film review, statistical analysis and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the distribution and ordering of team equipment and office supplies; coordinating and administering special volleyball events, social media and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program. Please note this is a part- time position with a maximum budgeted salary of up to $17,000. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program. Required Licenses License Requirement CA license Required Certifications Certification Requirement May need to maintain NCAA certified recruiter status. Preferred May need to maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Preferred Experience Experience Requirement Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Required Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Valid Drivers License Required Shift Work (hours outside standard Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM work hours) Required Travel Required Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours Required Minimum Requirements Demonstrated effective problem solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making, be an effective problem solver and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Demonstrated inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants.Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles.Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
