INSTRUCTOR AND ENTREPRENEUR-IN-RESIDENCE

$75,400 - $111,900
The Instructor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence will be responsible
for developing and delivering specialized entrepreneurial education
programs to students, faculty and qualified community entrepreneurs
on campus and throughout Riverside County. The incumbent will
network across campus and perform community outreach to drive
awareness of the University's efforts to encourage startups and
will serve as a coach and mentor in key start up activities related
to team formation, marketing strategies, business development and
fundraising, and support the overall commercialization efforts of
the University. This is a one-year contract position with the
possibility of renewal contingent upon on continued funding.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
6 - 10 years of related experience.
Skilled communicator; includes verbal and written, active
listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and
counseling skills. Ability to use discretion and respect
Ability to break down complex concepts and tailor communication to
industry partner unique needs and interests.
Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in the
Microsoft Suite. Advanced knowledge of organization's Industry
Alliance's programs. Ability to teach others.
Advanced organizational and project management skills. Ability to
lead a team, prioritize personal and team tasks and see projects
through from inception to completion on schedule.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain working
relationships with colleagues, faculty, donors, and industry
partners, with an emphasis on collaboration, tact, diplomacy,
flexibility, professionalism, and discretion.
Deep understanding of faculty and programmatic research interests
within the University. Understanding of partnership agreements,
patent law, licensing and commercialization.
