Regional EHS Manager plays a key role in providing technical
health, safety, and environmental expertise and support within a
geographical region that may cover two (2) or more service center
locations. Key initiatives include delivering and achieving
objectives in service center safety, environmental, and health
programs. As Tosca is an ISO 22000 certified food-safe environment,
the Regional EHS Manager will coordinate with Food Safety program
managers and optimize resources' shared use. The Regional EHS
Manager is accountable for coordinating training initiatives,
monitoring safety conditions, health regulations, environmental
compliance, and providing technical expertise to site personnel to
ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, and Company
safety, food safety, and health regulations.Requirements* Develops,
maintains, and reviews the Corporate Safety Policies as they apply
to the safe operation of processes at the service center level.
Participate in the annual review and revision of the Safety
Policies* Develop and execute a comprehensive and effective safety,
environmental, food safety, and health plan for multiple sites.
Improve the quality of and ensure the effective execution of
safety, food safety, and environmental management processes
following established regulations, policies, standards, and best
practices* Assess safety risks, determine root causes and develop
programs and training to mitigate or eliminate risk factors for
multiple service centers* Regularly visit service center locations
for review of site conditions and management review of EHS issues*
Review and investigate accidents, incidents, and conservative care
cases to determine root cause(s), develop and implement corrective
actions. Using historical data and incident trending, determine
plans to reduce or eliminate incidents. Ensure the OSHA 300 log is
maintained for multiple service centers* Publish monthly metrics
and communicate to all levels of the organization* Ensure accurate
recordkeeping to meet business and OSHA requirements* Conduct
audits to ensure compliance and 'tour readiness' for multiple
service centers; prepare written assessment of safety audits
including recommendations for corrective and preventative action
(CAPA) and remediation of recognized risk factors; provides
leadership and direction to service center management team to
facilitate completion of CAPA* Serve as the primary contact for
environmental issues, including regulatory compliance, HazMat
training, waste disposal, and documentation (CUPA, SWPPP, etc.)
Coordinate with government, fire officials, and regulatory agencies
during all site inspections and audits* Identify training needs,
develop and implement safety training schedules and programs to
ensure service center training is completed* Maintain the Site(s)
Emergency Response and Contingency Plan* Assist Service Center
Manager(s) with the development of annual safety, food safety, and
health goals* Promote safety, food safety, environmental and
Wellness program awareness through internal communication,
postings, newsletters, and specific training programs* Develops a
strong safety culture for multiple sites by establishing proactive
measures such as near-miss reporting, incentive programs, and
employee recognitionQualifications* 7+ years of experience in a
similar operations position required; 3+ years supervisory
experience is preferred* Key technical experience in ergonomics,
machine guarding, control of hazardous energy, wastewater, waste
management, and chemical management, in addition to standard EHS
competency* Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Occupational
Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Operations, Engineering or a
related field of study* Demonstrated experience performing audits,
incident investigations, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), including root
cause analysis determination* Strong safety and compliance
knowledge and the ability to recognize/correct hazardous conditions
and behaviors required. Experience in food safety, ISO 22000, ISO
45001, GMP, and HACCP preferred* Effective listening and
communication skills (verbal and written), project management, and
the ability to set and keep deadlines* Strong overall computer
skills required: MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook*
Experience with mobile application(s): i.e., SafetyCulture iAuditor
a plus* High level of energy, integrity, judgment, initiative, and
decision making skills* Comfortable in a fast-paced and flexible
environment* Proven results in identifying and implementing
improvement initiatives* Professional certification such as
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Professional Engineer (PE),
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous
Material Manager (CHMM) a plus* Team player with the ability to
influence, interface and gain credibility across different levels
in the organization* Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus* Will frequently
