Our client is a progressive growth oriented National Third Party Dedicated Logistics provider with over $1B in revenue. With an extensive prestigious list of mass retail, apparel, e-commerce and CPG Fortune 50, 100 and 500 companies. This client has established an aggressive strategic plan to continue to capture additional market share.

We are looking for a progressive, growth-oriented executive to run the Dedicated, Intermodal, and Linehaul Divisions having full Operational and P&L responsibility for continuing to grow these divisions on a national basis.

United States

Rollout business model nationally.
Total control of operations and business development nationally.
Financial responsibilities to include P&L statement management and ensuring accurate billing and cost controls associated with office and driver expenses.
Manage all assets (tractors, trailers, yard hostlers)
Responsible for Business Development activities to increase revenues, specifically selling a suite of warehouse and transportation services.
Directs the performance management of carriers and negotiates carrier contracts annually.
Develops logistics strategies and optimizes the logistics network and processes for new and existing businesses.
Maximize productivity through operations excellence, asset utilization, and cost containment
Responsible for on-time service for all load requests
Must be able to ensure positive customer interaction
Ensure compliance with all DOT, CHP and other federal, state and local requirements
Responsible for overseeing maintenance of all company vehicles, ensuring all are in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws to ensure safe and reliable operation
Focus on driver retention by understanding driver requirements/preferences, monitoring driver performance to ensure driver requirements are being met, and keeping drivers informed and motivated
Work with management team to review driver check calls to determine driver location and estimated delivery times
Notify Customer Service Department of issues/changes that might impact customer expectations of affect load assignments
Be able to react to emergency or urgent situations as they occur, and follow emergency and/or accident company protocol
Identify, track, and resolve performance issues by conducting driver evaluations, ride-alongs, follows, meetings, etc.
Work with management team to resolve driver conflicts, problems, and requests to matters such as home-time, pay, equipment, and load assignments
Develop key members of management staff to ensure organizational capabilities support future growth
Create and maintain a culture of customer service, responsiveness and open and respectful communications

Must have asset based multi-facility line haul/full truck-load experience
Managed multiple regional and/or national terminals
Proficient in utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Strong knowledge of technology with dispatch systems
Must have experience working with owner-operators and company drivers
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
10 years related experience in all facets of transportation/trucking
Experience in green-field operations
Preferred experience in third party transportation
Experience with general financial statements, accounts payable, and budgets required
Bachelor s degree in transportation preferred
