$131,100 Position Information *Full-time hybrid/remote work
arrangements will be considered* Reporting to the Sr. Executive
Director of Development Operations, the Director of Constituent
Research & Development (CRD) provides strategic direction and
management for the office of Constituent Research & Development.
The research office has primary responsibility for providing
in-depth background information on a wide variety of constituents
for use by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Deans, faculty, and
the development department. Additional responsibilities include
overseeing the successful delivery of reactive and proactive
research, data mining, and analytics that will produce a pipeline
of prospects for future qualification, cultivation, and
solicitation, in support of UC Riverside. The incumbent is
responsible for strategy and management of all aspects of the
research office, including but not limited to staff supervision,
annual planning for work products and workloads, resource
acquisition (including budget management and vendor/contract
maintenance), and active collaboration with colleagues across
campus (unit and college development programs, Alumni Engagement,
Constituent Management & Technology, ITS, etc.). This position is
critical to the success of UC Riverside's overall fundraising
efforts as a leading strategic voice in the development and
application of best practices in prospect research and management
and analytics.As a condition of employment, you will be required to
comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the
policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable,
submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption,
Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on
pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new
University of California employees, the applicable deadline is
eight weeks after their first date of employment. Please note: the
budgeted amount for this position is up to $113,000.
EducationEducation Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's
degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Required Experience Experience Requirement 8 - 13 years of related
experience. Required Previous supervisory/managerial experience.
Preferred Interpersonal skills to maintain professional
relationships with peers, patients, multidisciplinary team members,
senior management, and assigned staff.
Ability to organize division operations in an efficient and
effective manner through improving research processes, procedures,
and systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively
communicate through all mediums and with all groups.
Proven analytical abilities and problem solving skills to quickly
evaluate complex issues and identify options for resolution.
Demonstrates sound judgement.
Broad knowledge of prospect research concepts. Demonstrated ability
to translate strategic objectives into organizational processes and
operations to meet defined goals.
Advanced user of research tools, analytical databases and reporting
applications.
Project management and customer service skills to effectively
manage multiple priorities in a complex, challenging environment.
Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility, anticipates and
effectively handles change.
Leadership skills in employee supervision and HR administration to
effectively manage lead and motivate others. Conflict resolution
skills to resolve personnel issues and counsel assigned staff to
develop cooperative working relationships.
Knowledge of prospect research and confidentiality policies and
processes. Broad knowledge of relevant industry federal, state and
local laws and regulations.
Ability to manage team efforts and prioritize projects to move
institutional goals and objectives toward success.
