The Branch Manager will work with Licensed Mortgage Professionals (LMPs) to build volume and customer/client relationships. This position assures excellent quality service is provided to internal and external customers maximizing branch profits. The Branch Manager anticipates and prepares for the growth of the branch, ensuring to actively and effectively recruit, coach, manage, and motivate a high- performance sales team. Essential Duties:Manages three or more LMPs that are not part of their personal sales teamRecruits and hires branch personnel that have a proven book of self-generated businessTrains and manages their staff in accordance with HFG and industry standards, including training and mentoring in areas such as product knowledge and salesConducts performance reviews and documents employee files according to HFG policiesProvides strategic direction, market analysis, and oversight to ensure the branch is maximizing production while maintaining efficient and accurate operationsCommunicates goals on a regular basis to branch personnelConducts weekly and monthly production meetings to establish sales goals and quotas and motivate LMPs to achieve maximum production levelsMonitors quality of loans originated by LMPs and ensures they are within HFG guidelinesResponsible for overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including but not limited to: counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers; taking complete and accurate applications; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate rates and lock information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformance with terms; assisting in collecting additional documents after closing as directed by Corporate or senior managementPromotes HFG's brand in assigned geography; supports efforts that enhances the BranchEstablishes, develops, and maintains a strong client referral base by selling HFG's loan products and services to meet the needs of its client base in order to develop new business and/or retain existing businessGenerates new business through contacts with builders, developers, and realtors to expand market shareProvides regular reporting on branch performance within their assigned marketManages expenses for the branch within budget and HFG requirementsEnsures the branch culture is aligned with HFG's corporate culture, values, and missionResponsible for the communication and implementation of Company policiesIdentifies training needs for LMPs in the branch and helps implement the trainingInforms Area Manager or Regional Manager of concerns about direct reports and participates in corrective counseling, if neededResponsible for producing personal loan volume at or above target expectationsMaintains an accurate, up-to-date, working pipelineEnsures all functions of the branch are in complete compliance with federal, state, regulatory, and company policy and proceduresDemonstrates a commitment to professional ethics and adheres to HMDA requirementsKeeps informed of trends, changes, and developments in the local and national real estate marketStays abreast of all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements for both company and investor guidelines pertaining to both government- insured and privately- insured mortgagesParticipates in HFG internal meetings and required trainingMaintains a professional image and demonstrates an understanding of and follows all HFG Policies and ProceduresOther duties as assigned

Requirements:
Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredBachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of recent mortgage loan origination experience for both FHA and conventional loansMinimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience within the mortgage industry preferredActive Mortgage Originator License through NMLS required in all states in which loans are originatedProven sales abilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service skills to internal and external customersAbility to develop positive relationshipsExceptional organization and time management skillsMust be able to implement written proceduresAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates leadership, enthusiasm, and ability to recruit and motivate othersIndependent, self-starting, team player with a positive attitudeProficient PC skills to include Excel, Word, and Microsoft OutlookExperience utilizing laptop technology for communication purposes including accessing rate, credit and loan status informationExperience with Encompass/ Optimal Blue/ DU/ LP and other major origination systems preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret financial dataExtensive knowledge of mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory (federal and state) guidelinesStrong knowledge of mortgage origination process, FNMA, FHA, VA, RD, and SAFE Act guidelinesLocal market knowledge including key competitors, high profile recruits, and potential business opportunitiesWorking Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job may require handling objects up to 10 pounds frequently and 20 pounds occasionally. While performing the duties described herein, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel in addition to talking and hearing.
