Job DescriptionThis important position is part of Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) and reports to Director, Global Regulatory Strategic Sourcing. - The Sr. Manager, Global Regulatory will provide support and assist the Head of Global Regulatory Strategic Sourcing/Director of Global Regulatory Strategic Sourcing with oversight for all supplier management activities Global in support of our flexible capacity model (functional service provider, outsourcing) across the Global Regulatory Affairs Organization with a focus on providing support for contracting. Lead all contracting processing activities including submission into and through Takeda Systems. Serves as subject matter expert on Takeda contracting policies and proceduresThe Sr. Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs Strategic Sourcing will demonstrate Takeda leadership behaviors to accomplish the following responsibilities that include but are not limited to:You are a great fit for this opportunity if you are engaged and energized by:

  • Support an outsourcing vision to achieve current and future business objectives and to continuously optimize outsourcing for Company's Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) Organization
  • Lead end to end contracting process for Takeda partners, Health Care Providers, Key Opinion Leaders and other GRA Contracting needs
  • Manage processes and connections between the external partners and the various stakeholders across GRA.
  • Assist the Head of Global Regulatory Strategic Sourcing/ Director of Global Regulatory Strategic Sourcing with contracting needs for external partners, including expertise with utilizing and interacting with all of Takeda's contracting systems Systems
  • Work with procurement, Finance, IT and Functional Area experts to support the conduct of due diligence evaluations and selection of external partner organizations.
  • Support and assist in establishing an industry-leading approach to joint process improvement and innovation ecosystem across our Company and partner companies for externalized work.
  • Manage and continuously develop a team of our Company professionals that deliver industry leading supplier management.
  • Lead and/or manage vendor/partner compliance to all agreement terms and conditions, company policies, standards. - Proactively identify areas of potential risk and develop proactive risk mitigation plans and manage issue resolution, incorporating learnings to strengthen partnership processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Takeda policies and procedures for supplier due diligence and selection, negotiation, and execution of contracts, and HCP/HCE engagement.
  • Responsible for demonstration of Takeda Leadership behaviorEDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
    • 3+ years of biopharmaceutical experience with at least 1 years in R&D functions such as Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research, etc. preferred -(Regulatory Experience preferred).
    • Bachelor of Science Degree
    • Experience with contracting with external partners in outsourced models
    • Experience utilizing supplier management systems, such as Ariba and other contracting tools
    • Demonstrated experience working in a drug development outsourced model, either on the outsourcer or client side with an ability to translate learnings to a regulatory outsourcing model
    • Understanding of relationship management with demonstrated experience in partnering in large scale situations
    • Innovative thinking in order to drive insights into operations and change management and support strategic sourcing decisions.
    • Must have proven track record to be able to think critically, independently and problem solve
    • Must have high level of motivation, drive, and demonstration of Takeda's leadership values
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Top notch interpersonal skills in difficult situations
    • Ability to work seamlessly with all levels of personnel
    • Demonstrated sensitivity and knowledge of cultural differences with experience in multi-country, multi-cultural environments and demonstrated success with cross-geographically based cultural collaborations
