Position Summary
The Property Manager will assist corps officers by coordinating all facility needs and work with Divisional staff to address all facility needs. This position will manage facility maintenance worker and janitor.
Essential Functions



  • Create and maintain a deferred maintenance plan for all Riverside Corps facilities.


  • Coordinate all facility vendors and regular maintenance as scheduled.


  • Manage Facility Maintenance Worker.


  • Order and maintain all janitorial supplies.


  • Coordinate outside contractors.


  • Coordinate all payments for contractors and leases.


  • Manage Corps fleet vehicle including maintenance and cleaning.


  • Gather all bids for capital projects.


  • Manage capital projects.


  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


    Working Conditions
    Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone
    Minimum Qualifications


    • Requires understanding and acceptance of, and adherence to, TSA standards and philosophy.


    • Ability to support officers in the obtaining and contractor bids and proposals.


    • Work flexible work hours.


    • Understanding Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


    • Maintaining a professional attitude.


    • Maturity and confidentiality required.


    • Must maintain a valid California Driver's License.


    • Ability to work with various ethnic and socio-economic populations.


    • Demonstrate initiative, willingness to help. people, desire to be an effective team member.


    • Professionalism, flexibility, creativity, and patience are expected attributes.


    • Must meet certification by and participation in The Salvation Army's Fleet Safety Program (Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy dictates that an employee may not obtain more than two [2] moving violations or accidents within any 12-month period; see The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy).


    • Must successfully complete Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army and annually recertify as required.


      Skills, Knowledge & Abilities


      • Computer literacy.


      • Meet program demands.


      • Ability to process and assess issues and make sound judgments and/or recommendations.


      • Ability to determine building maintenance, repair, refurbishing and remodeling needs, obtain bids, or have staff do the needed work, then evaluate progress and proper completion of said projects.


      • Ability to conduct effective training sessions and to clarify concepts and policies.


      • Ability to work independently.


      • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
