Position Information
The Assistant Director for the Inland Empire Regional K-16
Education Collaborative will support the Director by providing
backbone programmatic, technical, evaluative and operational
support. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Inter
agency Council, Individual Pathways Workgroups and sub award
recipients to support the planning, execution and management of
each sub award program. The Assistant Director will coordinate and
facilitate meetings with sub award applicants and recipients. The
Assistant Director will provide support in data collection and
evaluation of sub award programs and gather information for
quarterly reporting. The partners include all 12 Inland Empire
regional community colleges, UC Riverside, CSU San Bernardino, a
myriad of private non-profit colleges and universities, K-12 school
districts, non-profit organizations, and business and workforce
partners. The Assistant Director will also help develop and
maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and
communicate with multiple stakeholders. Through this work, the
Assistant Director will help incorporate educational, community,
workforce, and employer engagement in San Bernardino and Riverside
Counties to support equitable educational and economic
opportunities for students and address equity barriers in career
and technical education pathways in the areas of Healthcare,
Engineering, Business, and Education. The Inland Empire Regional
K-16 Education Collaborative is in year 2 of a 4-year grant and the
position may be extended based on funding and project needs.
Please Note: This is a 3-year period position with the possibility
of renewal based on funding availability.
The full salary range for $71,100.00 - $128,700.00 annually. The
expected pay scale for this position is $71,100.00 - $78,000.00
annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations,
such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and
other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a
UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take
over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all
applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining
agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or
local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication,
active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and
counseling skills.
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques,
and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and
academic employees.
Knowledge of a variety of administrative operations activities such
as events planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management
planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and
grants regulations and guidelines.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes,
protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund
management, and/or personnel management.
Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application
programs. Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer
application programs.
