In this role, the Director of Operations creates and maintains a customer-driven hotel with a member-keeping vision that inspires the associates to do their best. Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals. They are responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the resort. Responsible for profitability of Culinary/ Food and Beverage Outlets, Marketing of all Outlet promotions, Front Desk guest service, product quality of the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

-

-Directly responsible for overseeing Food and Beverage Outlets, Front Office, Culinary and resort operation.
-Represent the General Manager/Hotel Manager in his or her absence.
-Deal in depth with the Hotel's challenges and opportunities.
-Able to Effectively utilizing a participative style - using effective communication, timely coordination, problem solving and follow-up.
-Represent a high level of loyalty to the Mission Inn
- Regularly communicate, counsel, and assist in problem solving with each manager.
-Through personal leadership and example, establish a friendly, courteous, service-oriented approach to guests that is exhibited by all hotel departments.
-Operationally

-Inspect all public corridors and outlets daily to ensure proper cleanliness.
-Conduct staff meetings.
-Conduct daily review of MOD log and provide prompt follow-up where needed.
-Accurately review and approve weekly forecast concerning payroll.
-Learn, understand, and refer to the applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
-Ensure Front Desk Upsell program is in place
-Ensure Shampoo schedule is given to housekeeping daily
-Review and approve all weekly schedules
-Ensure and promote safety and security of employees and guests at all times
-Handle, follow-up and respond to guest issues and complaints on behalf of the General Manager.
-Attend resume meetings and make sure all VIP's are welcomed.
-Review monthly and daily service scores and follow-up accordingly with department heads
-Assist in the development of annual operating budget. Assure achievement of annual budget in revenues and profits. The budget is an operating plan and defines required levels of achievement of the General Manager and his or her staff
-Regularly review pricing and rate structures of food and beverage and day of ADR. This includes cost of increases and competitive pricing in room rates, restaurant, lounge and other areas. Assure recommendation and implementation of price increases on a timely basis as warranted
-Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans for Front office packages and Food and Beverage promotions with Director of Sales and Marketing.
-Drive, Review and monitor the success of F&B promotions and programs with the Food & Beverage Director.
-Regularly review Front Office results in maximizing rooms revenue. This includes a detailed review of results, identification of problem areas and alternatives to correct the problem.
-Administratively

-Attend forecast, yield meetings and conduct weekly meeting with each EC member
-Approve all purchase orders
-Ensure budget goals are met and/or exceeded
-Ensure all paperwork needed for daily assessment of monies spent daily is correct and given in a timely fashion to Accounting
-Ensure the preparation and follow up of all service measurements
-Participate in Safety Committee meetings.
-Daily review and follow-up in cash handling (overages/shortages) reports.
-Conduct weekly P&L review and analysis.
-Review and follow-up Department Action Plans in weekly department meetings.
-Review and approve all Management Performance Reviews in your discipline and wage increases accordingly, along with all disciplinary action for associates, to include warnings, Performance Improvement Reviews and Personnel Action Forms.
-Develop a method for weekly forecasting and planning of operating, staffing and cost expenditures in line with forecasted sales and costs. Follow up with department heads to assure compliance.
-Assure that level of experience; knowledge, and ability of all hotel management meet the job requirement.
-Review cost controls and direct corrective actions to assure adherence at all times.

For applicants who will be working in California, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $100,000 (48.08 hourly) - 125,000 (62.50 hourly) . The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
