Job Description:

employees never wavers. POSITION PURPOSE: The Distribution Manger
will oversee the warehouse workers and ensure daily shipping goals
are being met as well as ensuring a safe work environment. This
role will assist and develop direct repots to achieve desired
results ensuring proper orientation, training, development,
compensation and working conditions are present. Additionally, the
Distribution Manager is a business partner to the Plant Leadership
Team (PLT) and is responsible for building the distribution team
and creating an environment of cultural alignment, problem
identification and problem solving.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage shipping efficiencies and backorders.
- Oversees pricing of freight, leases, shipping materials and
supplies.
- Oversee the delivery of products to dealers, contractors and
jobsites throughout locations geographic region.
- Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of deliveries
to meet and exceed customers' expectations while optimizing loads
and minimizing work hours.
- Review all paperwork in order to plan work activities, schedule
appropriate personnel and balance loads.
- Reflect American Woodmark's business values and Philosophy in
all business interactions.
- Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable
health and safety regulations.
- Provide a safe and productive work environment, including
housekeeping.

- Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor. III.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education: Bachelor's Degree in
business or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five to seven years of effective/progressive leadership
experience in a distribution environment.
- Previous experience with Big Box retailers is a plus. Skills:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- Must possess strong management and leadership skills and
demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse
group of employees.
- Excellent working knowledge of safety practices and
regulations, including OSHA compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a team player
and have the proven ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven
environment. Communications Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret common business and technical journals and financial
reports. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with
customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or
complaints from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members
of the business community and public. Ability to develop
presentations to be delivered to production team, plant level team,
or public groups. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic
mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication or
division to basic manufacturing performance recording or financial
performance recording. Ability to read and use a tape measure.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret
an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
(Number of people, job titles): This position typically supervises
a team of hourly and salary employees.
- PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Typical Working Conditions: (Describe
environment including exposure to heat, cold, fumes, chemicals,
allergens, mold, etc.) Typical indoor/outdoor manufacturing
environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and
hearing protection may be required on the production floor. Safety
glasses are required on the production floor. Some out-of-town
travel is required. Occasional weekend work required. Essential
Physical Tasks: (List all physical tasks encountered in performing
essential functions.) While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to stand and walk and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle,
or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally
