Job Description:
What You Will DoMasters or doctoral prepared nurse with Clinical
Nurse Specialist Certificate who applies clinical expertise in
evidence-based nursing practice within three spheres of influence;
1) patient/client, 2) nurses/nursing practice, and 3)
organization/system in the following roles: clinical expert,
educator, researcher, consultant and leader. Recommends and set the
standard for professional nursing practice, establishes appropriate
patient care measures, and evaluates outcomes.Clinical Nurse
Specialist positions with Sharp HealthCare focus on patient
outcomes and serve a key function to the organization. There are
opportunities for Clinical Nurse Specialists to collaborate with
leaders throughout Sharp to create safer systems and processes for
patients and their families.4-West is a 33-bed Progressive
Care/Surgical unit with emphasis on
orthopedic/neurosurgical/general surgical patient populations.
-This fast-paced unit excels in helping to heal patients during
their immediate post-operative periods. -Our staff is dedicated to
excellence in quality patient care, consistent with outcome driven
goals, and to outstanding patient satisfaction through teamwork,
interdisciplinary collaboration, positive nurse/physician
relations, and connections with our patients and their families.
-In addition to the Clinical Nurse Specialist, our unit consists of
Clinical Nurses, Advanced Clinicians, Lead nurses, and Nurse
Manager all dedicated to a learning environment through mentorship.
-Our patient population is diverse in age, culture, and
socio-economic status. -We enjoy a friendly environment with staff
experience ranging from new graduates to those who have worked on
