More information about HSS can be found at hss-us.com. Responsibilities HSS is currently looking for Security Officers to serve our posts at major healthcare facilities. Our healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. QualificationsRequired Qualifications of the Security Officer:

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet HSS' driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
  • Previous work experience with the public in a service settingArmed (Handgun) Qualifications:
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon
    • Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual HSS approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm
    • Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor
    • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS Firearms policiesTASER Qualifications:
      • Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
      • Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
      • Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructorand/or HSS
