Job Summary and Qualifications The StaRN Residency Program at Riverside Community Hospital provides you with the tools necessary to succeed in today s hospital environment. This paid program will assist you with the transition out of the classroom setting through a formalized series of learning experiences, including:
    • Advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
    • Monthly educational sessions.
    • Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor.
    • Measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations.
    • Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
    • Working collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project. Have you always dreamed of working in Women's Services? The Women's Services program is for you! Good Samaritan Hospital has a unique opportunity with the StaRN. Accelerate your nursing career by joining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) program! We invite registered nurses to apply for a unique opportunity to have didactic and clinical training by HealthTrust (a part of the HCA family).
      This cohort will begin on May 15, 2023 and will only have positions available in Labor and Delivery. Didactic training: introduces nurses to core curriculum and hospital initiatives in a classroom setting (4 to 6 weeks) Simulation training: reinforces nursing skills learned in the didactic setting (1 week) Hands on training: with a facility preceptor in your nursing unit (6 to 8 weeks) 12 week training for RN's new to the postpartum/Mother-Baby unit. 5 Weeks of didactic, including interactive classroom discussion with experienced StaRN Women s Services Instructors. Five days of simulation lab, incorporating postpartum-specific scenarios 7 weeks of clinical preceptorship at home facility with StaRN instructor follow up at 2 week intervals. During this training you will receive the following certifications: NRP certification STABLE certification A.C.L.S. P.A.L.S. 16 week training for RN's new to the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit. 6 Weeks of didactic, including interactive classroom discussion with experienced StaRN Women s Services Instructors. Five days of simulation lab, incorporating L&D-specific scenarios 10 weeks of clinical preceptorship at home facility with StaRN instructor follow up at 2 week intervals. During this training you will receive the following certifications: NRP certification STABLE certification A.C.L.S. P.A.L.S.
