patient care. Balance Health is looking for a Podiatrist to join
our team at our University Foot & Ankle brand in the Los Angeles
Metro Area. University Foot and Ankle Institute is well known as

by LA Magazine. Based in Santa Monica, we have 6 convenient
locations throughout Los Angeles County. At University Foot & Ankle
Institute, we are proud to provide exceptional podiatric care and
to allow our patients to live healthy and active lives. Under the
direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral
podiatric services to patients. Examine patients' legs and feet to
diagnose diseases Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting
the feet and ankles Perform wound care management Diagnose diseases
and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories,
physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or
surgery Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care
techniques necessary for prevention of future problems Provide
education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Maintain
appropriate medical records on assigned patients Benefits of

Requirements: Requirements Ability to observe, assess and record
symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of legal and ethical
standards for the delivery of medical care Knowledge of the
information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human
injuries, diseases, and deformities Ability to identify complex
problems and review related information to develop and evaluate
options and implement solutions Excellent verbal and written
communication skills that allow effective working relationships
with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population Be
proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word,
Excel, EMR database Education and Experience Minimum of three (3)
years professional experience preferred Current License as a
Podiatrist in the State of California Doctoral degree in Podiatric
Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry Completion of an
accredited podiatric residency program Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, with frequent
lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability
to sit and stand for up to several hours at a time Ability to see
and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate
monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Must be able to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues. Ability to use hands and fingers to
manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and
accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for
documenting patient care, and accessing needed information.
