We are seeking an experienced Rheumatology Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jul 6, 2026, and offers a flexible weekday schedule with day shifts from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The role includes working alongside a supervising rheumatologist, managing a steady patient flow, and assisting with both new and established patient visits. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Jul 6, 2026 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Rheumatology Physician Assistant - Schedule: Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide clinical care in rheumatology under physician supervision - See approximately 15-18 patients per day - Conduct one new patient consult per day (approximately 30 minutes each) - Manage follow-up and reoccurring patient visits (approximately 20 minutes each) - Collaborate with the supervising rheumatologist and assist as needed - Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with clinical standards Additional Information - Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in California - Several years of experience in rheumatology required - Board certification in Rheumatology required - Flexible scheduling options available within the parameters outlined - Strong teamwork and communication skills needed Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
