Job Summary: /n Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment,
producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and
tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Leads staff
activities, utilizing both professional and personal discretion as
well as independent judgment. Acts as an expert clinician who
demonstrates a high level of knowledge/expertise, and is a
leader/resource to the healthcare team. /n Job Requirements: /n/n
Education and Work Experience: /n /n - Associate’s degree in
Radiologic Technology: Preferred /n - Five years' technical
experience: Required /n - Two years' leadership experience:
Preferred /n /n/n/n Licenses/Certifications: /n /n - Registered by
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.
(R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required /n - Radiologic Tech (RT)
in the state of practice: Required in CA /n - Advanced
certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI,
Preferred in CA /n - Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS)
certification: Required /n - Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA
and OR /n - Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR /n -
ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT):
Required /n /n/n/n Facility Specific License/Certifications: /n /n
- AHA-BLS: Required /n - Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS):
Required /n /n/n/n Essential Functions: /n /n - Prepares patients
for the CT diagnostic procedure by explaining the process and
positioning the patient to correctly capture the images requested
by a physician. /n - Plans the daily patient workload to
accommodate scheduled patients, including in-house and emergency
patients. Guides a team, assigns resources, monitors work, develops
and administers schedules, and oversees achievement of performance
requirements. /n - Assists manager in decisions involving employee
hiring, employee evaluation, promotion and termination. /n -
Provides adequate staffing to accommodate patient workload, while
covering vacations and sick days. /n - Serves as technical leader
on daily tasks and cases. Models/mentors and trains staff on
technical skills. Recommends and coordinates scheduling of work
assignments, daily priorities and directing the work of staff.
Provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff. /n -
Performs other job-related duties as assigned. /n /n/n/n
