The Role: As the Director Clinical Laboratory, you will be responsible for all operational, strategic, and quality functions within the Clinical Laboratory, Pathology Services, and Blood Bank. In partnership with St. Mary Medical Center's administration, you will ensure the consistent delivery of highâ€'quality, accurate, and timely laboratory services for all practitioners and patients who rely on them. In this role, you will support clinicians across the continuum of careâ€"including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patientsâ€"by ensuring your team demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and developmental competencies required for the diverse population served. Your leadership will directly influence the safety, reliability, and excellence of diagnostic services across St. Mary Medical Center. What You'll Do: * Operational Leader * Direct the laboratory team in the delivery of comprehensive diagnostic services and maintain strong working relationships that support seamless care across departments. * Strategic Planner * Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental objectives to advance service quality and operational performance. * Regulatory Champion * Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, policies, and procedures governing laboratory operations. * Fiscal Steward * Develop, oversee, and manage operating and capital budgets to support current needs and future growth. * Systems Expert * Maintain and optimize the laboratory information system to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with clinical needs. * Collaborative Partner * Actively participate in St. Mary Medical Center's committees and initiatives that support systemwide improvement and clinical excellence. * Quality Innovator * Provide leadership in designing and driving performance improvement initiatives focused on quality patient care, optimal resource utilization, and effective integration with departments across the hospital. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
