Job Number 201905142021Full/Part Time Full TimeSchedule 8AM - 5PMSalary Commensurate with ExperiencePosition Information Under the direction of the Student Health Services Administrative Director, the SHS Dentist Supervisor is responsible for the overall clinical operation and supervision of the student health dental unit. Provides a wide range of general dentistry services as well as the monitoring and supervision of the Student Health Services (SHS) dental unit staff. Monitors and maintains the quality improvement programs in accordance with ADA standards to provide full and complete dental care services to UCR students, including but not limited to, the diagnosing, communication, and implementing of treatment options to patients. Please note: Salary range for this position is $106,000 to $208,800 annually, based on related education, experience, and qualifications. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience after obtaining license to practice dentistry, as verified by Dental Board of California. Must be Board Certified, current in Dentistry as verified by American Board of General Dentistry and be in possession of the legal requirements for the practice of dentistry in California as verified by Dental Board of California. Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and X-ray certifications. Broad, solid clinical knowledge in overseeing a dental care operation. Solid knowledge of leadership and supervision of dental practitioners in assessing patient needs, establishing priority of actions, and providing full range of dental care and services. Strong skills in effectively making work assignments and continuous adjustments as patient needs are determined. Solid knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of advanced dentist duties. Must be able to communicate with both patients and clinical staff members Must be able to work in a collaborative manner. Requires knowledge of electronic / dental records systems. Must be computer literate. Must be able to diagnose patient condition and make associated treatment recommendations Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience after obtaining licenses to practice dentistry Previous dental management experience is a Student Health Care clinical setting Knowledge and ability to prepare and keep clinical records. Ability to provide dental prophylactics. Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop frequently throughout each shift.
