UC Riverside's Housing, Dining, and Hospitality Services is
recruiting for the Dining Supervisor for the Barn. The Barn is
comprised of a quick service restaurant with four distinct
platforms (deli, salads, hot entrees, grill, and beverages) with 90
seats and an exit POS design, a Faculty/Staff Restaurant with 60
seats, two 3rd party Bars, an outdoor patio with 110 seats, and an
outdoor patio with stage of 260 seats, and an outdoor entertainment
venue. The Barn complex is the first of its kind at UCR and will
serve as a destination for students, staff, and faculty alike while
providing a sense of purpose, place, and community for campus
constituents to come together for food, drinks, and entertainment.
The Barn includes a robust entertainment and event schedule to meet
fiscal goals. The Dining Supervisor for the Barn will assist in
planning, organizing, and managing day-to-day activities, work
assignments, guest service and maintenance functions of The Barn.
The Dining Supervisor wwill participate in the selection, training,
supervision, and performance evaluations of assigned staff
(including custodial and maintenance functions); review unit
budgets to ensure proper fiscal controls; supervise the ordering,
receiving, storage, and issuing of all assigned products, along
with the planning and service of all assigned menu items. The
Dining Supervisor for the Barn will also help develop creative menu
propositions (happy hour, BOGO, late night menu, etc.) to help
drive revenue generation. The Dining Supervisor will assist in the
planning and execution of special events in The Barn.
