Training Coordinator Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 23096992 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $55,000 - $108,500 Position Information The Training Coordinator participates as a training, education, or instructional design professional in a systemwide program or project. The individual selects technologies and tools, creates supportive learning activities, and develops new training in response to the University's needs. In collaboration with others, the position creates multimedia content and produces according to an established schedule. The individual will analyze needs and develop recommendations to address a wide range of training issues. The Training Coordinator provides the support for testing courses to ensure they are functional, designed for learning in mind, and compliant with learning management systems. This position is based on funding from University of California Office of the President (UCOP). Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Experience Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Minimum 2 years of experience with eLearning authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline or Studio, Adobe Captivate/Presenter, Lectora, etc.), and/or video production software (such as Adobe Premier, Camtasia, Corel VideoStudio, Pinnacle Studio, CyberLink, Final Cut Pro, etc.), and/or animated video creators. Preferred Minimum 2 years of combined experience developing videos, online training, and/or blended learning. Preferred Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Travel Required Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours Required Minimum Requirements Thorough knowledge and skills with relevant business software systems; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and education methodologies.Thorough knowledge of current training programs and trends. Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of delivering training programs and thorough knowledge of other areas of human resources.Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong presentation skills.Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.Thorough knowledge of training and development, performance management and workplace learning. Ability to apply knowledge to achieve successful organizational outcomes.Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.Strong skills in planning, resourcing and monitoring effective delivery of training.Thorough knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.Strong skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new training courses to meet organizational needs.Thorough knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich online learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning.University of California knowledge and/or experience or familiarity with higher education institutions or non-profit organizations.
