Job Description:

Insight Global is in search of an experienced Project Manager/Resident Engineers to join our growing CM team; to manage and continue expanding their successful portfolio of current and future projects in the Inland Empire.

The responsibilities of a Project Manager/Resident Engineers are as follows but not limited to:

Manage and Administer construction of transportation and/or public works projects.

Daily management of Assistant Resident Engineers, inspection personnel and other quality assurance staff.

o Assigning field personnel to specific project tasks and oversee their effectiveness.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports in a timely matter.

Lead weekly progress meetings with Contractor, Owner, Agencies, and others as required.

Coordinate utility relocations with appropriate agencies.

Act as the prime field contact between various project contractors and the clients Construction Manager.

Provide input for the redesign of facilities to fit existing field conditions.

Perform analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures.

Review/Approve quantity calculations for progress pay estimates.

Review/Approve and issue contract change orders and associated cost back-up.

Review contractors CPM schedule, RFIs, and submittals such as traffic control plans, mix designs, and SWPPP.

o Monitor and track contractors progress.

o Review and approve contractors monthly progress payment.

Review inspectors daily and weekly diaries.

Read and interpret plans and specifications.

Verify contractor is in compliance with contract documents.

Lead project closeout process.


Knowledge of Caltrans construction practices preferred.

California Professional Engineers license.
BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience; 10 years desired

California Professional Engineers license preferred

Professional approach at developing strong client relations.

Knowledge of civil components, such as:

o earthwork, grading, drainage, AC and PCC pavement, traffic control, SWPPP measures, signing and striping, and utility coordination.

Proficient in reading and interpreting plans & specifications.

Ability to coordinate with various agencies and departments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
