Job Description:
Looking for Board Certified Interventional Pain Physician for
Southern California region due to exponential growth!Exciting
opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and collaborative team
providing holistic care to restore physical and emotional
functioning and improve quality of life for those with chronic
pain. Seeking motivated, compassionate, and committed team players
with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The successful
candidate will be organized, adaptable, efficient, and able to
prioritize multiple tasks in an evolving environment.We are looking
for an Interventional Pain Physician with emphasis on intervention
with all advanced therapies. We have a large spinal cord
stimulation program with possible 2-3 days of procedures per week.
We provide efficient clinical support with hands-on training and
mentoring especially for new graduates. Our medical teams include
multiple advance practitioners to support physicians with patient
volume and injection referrals. Come help us transform healthcare
delivery. Duties: Conducts full and complete physical examinations
of patients. This includes but is not limited to; gathering medical
histories and records, identifying data, assessing chief
complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories and or
psycho-social characteristics Interprets and integrates data to
determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan Collaborates with other
physicians in managing acute and log-term medical needs of patient
Understands the full range of standard intervention pain procedures
Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain
Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering
diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory
studies Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders and injuries based
upon a patient's medical history and results of their physical
assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose conditions,
or manage overall pain Instructs and counsels patients regarding
procedures performed; always promotes wellness and health
maintenance Maintains a positive attitude, is compassionate and has
great communication and problem-solving skills Provides relief from
acute or chronic pain through medications, nerve blocks, electrical
stimulation, or other advanced interventional techniques.
Coordinates additional patient care such as; physical therapy,
psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer
patients a comprehensive plan with a multidisciplinary approach to
the treatment of their pain Supervise up to three nurse
Practitioners/physician Assistants. Provide in-service training to
nurse practitioners and physician assistants to ensure those
providers are accomplishing assigned job responsibilities and
identifying candidates for interventional procedures Care for a
medically complex and emotionally challenging patient population
that requires compassion, empathy, and the ability to deescalate
and appropriately react to unacceptable behavior in individual and
group settings Maintains safe and clean working environment by
complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Protects patients
and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and
protocols Complies with federal, state, and local legal and
professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation;
anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to
requirements; advising management on needed actions Upholds the
company's mission, vision and values Performs other duties as
assigned; consistent with the above responsibilities
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
Graduate of an accredited pain fellowship program Must possess
valid board certification as a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of
Osteopathic Medicine Must possess a valid medical license in
California Must possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certification Demonstrated experience and an
appreciation for challenging patient care Demonstrated knowledge of
current practice standards in specialty Computer literacy with the
ability to learn new applications Ability to multi-task and work
both independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment (30+ patients per clinic day and
25+ procedures per procedure day) Conditions: The physical demands
