Job Description:

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive secondary clinical chart reviews for documentation clarification
Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely coding
Initiate compliant physician queries for ambiguous documentation

Required Qualifications:

At least one of the following: RN, MD, or MD Equivalent
2-4 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding or CDI experience
CCDS or CDIP certification preferred
Strong clinical understanding of disease processes
Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment
