Job Description:
A company is looking for a Facility Coding Inpatient Complex
Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and
procedural information according to national guidelines
Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring complete
records and addressing missing information
Ensure coding quality assurance and compliance with regulatory
standards and provide mentoring for less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in
medical record keeping or an Associate's degree in a healthcare
field
Active certification such as CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA from
recognized organizations
Three or more years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care
facility
Knowledge of ICD CM and PCS coding principles as per AHIMA
competencies
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding
software and abstracting systems
