Volt is immediately hiring for 2ND SHIFT PACKAGING Machine Operator Assistants in Ontario, CA

SUMMARY: Responsible for the set up and operation of machines in designated department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Help Set up & Operate of various machines
Packaging experience is a MUST.
Run material through machine according to company specifications
Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate
Inspect and maintain quality of product.
Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards.
Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to the required maintenance of machines.
Assist in two man feeds as necessary.
Duties may be expanded upon, and additional duties may be assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry, preferred.
Able to READ a Tape Measure with speed and accuracy.
Knowledge equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
Read and interpret product layout and production specifications

SHIFT / PAY RATE:

$19.00 - $20.00 (Depending on Experience)

2nd Shift 1:30PM - 10:00PM +OT (8 hours daily) MONDAY - FRIDAY

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 60 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and colored dyes.
Exposure to wet and humid conditions.
Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration, such as Color Dyes.
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must always wear PPE. (Noise reduction Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses & Gloves)
NO Jewelry and No-Lose Clothing. MUST WEAR Steel Toe Shoes.



SHIFT / PAY RATE:

$19.00 - $20.00 (Depending on Experience)

2nd Shift 1:30PM - 10:00PM +OT (8 hours daily) MONDAY - FRIDAY
