The Coordinator of Outreach Activities supports the Counseling and
Psychological Services (CAPS) clinical staff in the coordination,
scheduling, planning, documentation, and provision of outreach
activities. Coordinator of Outreach Activities may support the CAPS
needs for representation at planning and coordination meetings with
other Division of Student Affairs offices in order to support the
outreach and marketing needs of CAPS. This will be a one year
position with the possibility of extension with available funding.
This position will be a 70% to 100% time appointment.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
Education in psychology/counseling or a related field.
0 - 1 years of related experience.
Experience working in the area of mental health
Verbal communication, written communication and organization
Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking,
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse student
Abilities in problem identification, reasoning.
Understanding of University rules and regulations.
Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication
and organization skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse campus
Basic knowledge of common University-specific computer application
Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
