The Associated Students Program Board (ASPB) is part of the Student
Life Office. The Assistant Advisor for Associated Students Program
Board has the shared responsibility for the operations and
personnel management of ASPB to ensure that the programs and events
are in accordance with established operating policies and
procedures, and properly coordinated to ensure maximum service to
the University community. The Assistant Advisor for ASPB is the
secondary advisor for the student leaders in ASPB and provides
leadership, guidance, training, and support. The Assistant Advisor
assists the board in providing a robust campus entertainment
experience for the undergraduate students at UCR. Additionally,
this position supports general Student Life Office functions and
events as needed.The salary range for this position is
$40,300-$79,300, however it is currently budgeted to the first
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
2 - 4 years of related experience.
Minimum of 1 year campus events experience.
Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical
Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication
and organization skills.
Abilities in problem identification, reasoning.
Understanding of University rules and regulations.
Knowledge of University processes and procedures.
Knowledge of common University-specific computer application
