SENIOR INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST

The Senior Industrial Hygienist develops, recommends, and
implements programs, policies, and procedures associated with the
recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential
health and safety hazards. The Senior Industrial Hygienist may
provide daily industrial hygiene and safety support programmatic
and campus health and safety programs or services. The Senior
Industrial Hygienist will use their broad expertise and skills to
contribute and develop advance concepts, standards, and techniques
in support of EHS and campus objectives and goals.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
Advanced degree in related field
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
6 - 10 years of related experience.
Hired candidate must successfully pass a background check through
the DOJ and FBI prior to appointment start date.
Must be available for on-call emergencies outside of regular work
Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Drivers License in accordance
with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, if driving for
university related business.

EH&S technical and professional staff.
Advanced analytical and organizational skills to organize,
prioritize and manage the successful completion of projects within
budget and time constraints.
Strong knowledge of federal and California regulatory requirements
and national consensus standards regarding industrial hygiene and
health and safety programs and intervention practices.
Strong knowledge and experience in conducting effective health and
safety surveys. Ability to evaluated survey findings, analyze data
and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to interpret injury
and illness statistics and health and safety program needs and
goals to others, prepare clear and concise reports, make
presentations and speak effectively in public.
