Under general supervision of the Financial Operations Manager
(FOM), provide pre-award and post-award administration and support
to Faculty, Researchers, Staff, and students within the department
of Physics & Astronomy. Maintain fiscal integrity for all funds and
accounts and ensure all funds are in an auditable/reportable
condition. Assist with fiscal close activities. The Department of
Physics & Astronomy is a large and complex operation encompassing
teaching, extensive research and outreach components. The
department supports 45 faculty and 195 non-senate academics,
postdocs, graduate students, and administrative staff; $21 million
dollars per year in expenditures and $10M in extramural funding
administered over 250 discreet fund sources; 80 proposals submitted
per year; over 75,000 assignable square feet of space in 4 office
and laboratory buildings. The budgeted hiring range for this
position is $50,000 to $62,200, depending on the experience of the
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent
