Requisition ID: 11021 L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Specialist, Electrical Engineer to join our Digital Circuit Card/FPGA teamThis position will be based at our Carlsbad, CA facilityThe Hardware Engineering and Development team is product focused that sees their designs from initial concept to development and through productionCandidates will work closely with Systems and Software Engineering, CAD, Components Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet all requirements and are producibleEssential Responsibilities:--- Participate in system requirements definition
* Lead and participate in high-level design and low-level design review
* Produce and test design deliverables such as Printed Wiring Assemblies in Digital and mixed signal applications
* Create Bill of Materials and work with Planning and Supply Chain for part procurement
* Work closely with Component Engineering for part creation on new designs as well as for sustaining of current products
* Produce program deliverables and develop design-level documentation
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance Basic Qualifications:--- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experienceGraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experienceIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experiencePreferred Qualifications:--- Demonstrated proficiency with design tools and processes for Schematic Capture, CAD, SPICE, ADS, Hyperlynx, MATLAB,
* Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and/or Modelsim/Questa
* Strong background in Digital, Programmable Logic and/or FPGA, or DSP and Analog circuit design principles
* Self-starter, collaborative, and independent
* Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, Verilog, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, RF, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, Aerospace industry
* Work and/or project experience in any of the following: Digital, Analog, or RF concepts and measurement techniques, Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Programmable Logic
* Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
