*Pawnbroker Job Purpose: *Serves customers by helping those select products, determine the value of customer's items for loan/purchases purposes, and to sell merchandise.


*Pawnbroker Job Duties:*


* Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.

* Directs customers by guiding them to racks, counters, outside; suggesting items.

* Advises customers by providing information on products, loan contractual terms.

* Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.

* Documents sale by creating or updating customer profile records; updating loan clientele information regularly.

* Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.

* Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

* Help customers understand their contractual agreements on loans.

* Provide specific detail on product knowledge for a write up on loan/purchase contracts.

* Able to differentiate between good and bad products for a pawn.

* Constantly greet customers and create a welcoming environment.

* Able to take inventory, reconcile paperwork, and receipts from daily transactions.

* Able to multi-task between answering phones, writing up loan(s), and helping in-store customers.

* Able to work outside, escort customers to their cars, and help them remove items from their vehicle.

* Must have a high school diploma, minimum. Higher education is a plus.

* Must be able to pass a drug screening test.

* Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.

* Must Pass Job Assessment Tests


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


Pay: $15.50 - $25.00 per hour
