Job Description:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and
skilled Part-Time Veterinarian to join our team, dedicated to
providing end-of-life care in the comfort and privacy of the pet's
home. This role involves working with pets and their families to
ensure a dignified and peaceful farewell. This position not only
requires excellent veterinary skills but also a profound sense of
empathy and understanding towards pet owners during their difficult
times. Conduct home visits to assess the health and conditions of
pets requiring end-of-life care. Administer euthanasia and provide
support to pet owners during the process. Communicate clearly and
compassionately with pet owners to discuss treatment options and
provide emotional support. Maintain accurate medical records and
comply with all veterinary health standards. Collaborate with
veterinary technicians and administrative staff to ensure seamless
end-of-life services. Strong proficiency in small animal euthanasia
Excellent communication and empathetic skills Ability to manage
emotional situations with professionalism Experience in hospice
care or geriatric pet care is preferred Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid veterinary
license to practice in the state Additional certification in
palliative care or euthanasia is preferred but not required
